Rick has worked in Campus Ministry since 1976. He began his work as the Assistant Campus Minister and BSU Director at Gardner-Webb University (College) in 1976-1977. From 1977–1980, Rick served Memorial Baptist Church in Buies Creek, NC as the Associate Pastor and Minister to Youth and College Students. In June of 1980 Rick became the Campus Minister at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY, he served in that capacity for 21 years. In June of 2001, Rick answered the call to become Team Leader for the Campus Ministry Team of the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. His responsibilities include working with staff, state-level programming, and local Baptist Student Unions. He oversees the state-level Baptist Student Union, its committees and programming, and he directs the Budgeting process for the North Carolina Campus Ministry Team.
